 I just loaded the 2.8 branch code, and performed the test:
 1. As site admin, created a user.
 2. As site admin, created a blog (blog 2) and used the new user's email
 address as blog admin.
 3. Log in at the root site as new user: RESULT - correctly redirected to
 user's own blog (blog 2). Clicking on My Blogs shows user only as a member
 of 1 blog.

 4. Went in through phpmyadmin and set primary blog back to blog 1 for the
 new user.
 5. Hit the main blog's wp-admin page. I was redirected once (wp-
 admin/?c=1) but then added to the main blog as a subscriber and stayed on
 the main blog's (blog 1) dashboard page.
 6. Clicking on My Blogs now lists the main blog (blog 1) and the sub-blog
 (blog 2).

 So far so good.

 7. Change the primary blog selection back to the sub blog (blog 2) (as the
 user).
 8. Click on "Dashboard."
 9. Do NOT correctly get redirected to the sub blogs (blog 2) dashboard,
 instead the user goes to the main blog (blog 1) dashboard.

 The previous fix correctly redirected to the set primary blog....
