 That's odd. I tried the exact same thing. "test5" user created with the
 same blog. I set the primary blog to the "dashboard" blog_id and then
 loaded the main blog, the code in get_active_blog_for_user() added the
 user on to the "dashboard" blog and redirected there.

 I was going to add code so that if the primary blog was the dashboard then
 make it another blog but then someone will want the dashboard blog to be
 their main blog. Especially if someone comes up with a neat plugin that
 does something useful with that feature.. (hint to any plugin developers
 looking for fame, if not fortune!)
