 @nacin: agreed that we'll probably want to revisit the button and link
 colors as well, but figured would have a ticket just to get the background
 lighter first, since that was a discrete task, and the arguments over
 shade variations for buttons etc can go on a long time. :) Planning to
 check in with MT on the buttons.
