You guys have come through for me, and I appreciate it.  I'll pass the word
on to the MU forum tonight.  I'm really quite surprised this knowledge
doesn't exist in any of the threads there yet.  At least, I could not find
it.

The translations don't need to be perfect.  Providing translations of
WordPress to multiple languages was not even a requirement for my project.
However, I like to do be thorough and consistent in my projects, and with
you're help, I'm able to add one more "bonus feature" that the customer
hadn't yet requested.

Usually at:

http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n/$lang/trunk/messages/$lang.mo or
http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n/$lang/tags/$tag/messages/$lang.mo

If there isn't a mo file, usually there is at least a po, whihcg is
already quite translated and you can convert it easily to a mo [0].

However, a great deal of the strings are correct. For example on
wordpress.com they started using these mo files and the translations
were decent. Yes, they do not fit perfectly, but it is flying start.

If you really want perfect translation, you could contact the
WordPress translators [1] and propose them to translate MU also. Many
of them will be happy to.
