The answer here is essentially "no", or rather "not without a very,
very good reason". A good reason would be threats of violence,
personal/private information exposed, things of that nature. Abuse
type reasons.

The usual case for somebody wanting their old posts edited to remove
links is that they're not happy with their site showing up on our
forums in google searches. That's not a good reason, so be hardline
about it and just say no.
