The only downside to simply nofollow'ing links is that we leave
potentially harmful links in the forum.
If we nofollow the links, then someone still needs to check they don't
point at nasty sites, which again reintroduces the problem of needing to
moderate that forum.
You're certainly correct about closing the forum though, i can't see any
means to simply closing it from the bbPress backend, though i can't
imagine it's beyond the scope of bbPress.
Chris, don't the automatic folks follow/subscribe to this list already?
I was under the impression some of the automatic team were subscribers
to this list.
