Comment:

 There's no native concept, in WordPress or BuddyPress, of "inactive"
 users. If you have a setting of "inactive" somewhere in your interface,
 it's being added by another plugin. You may want to speak about the author
 of that plugin about the possibility of BuddyPress integration.

 If you have issues with the way the BP Group Hierarchy group works, you
 may want to consider posting on http://buddypress.org/support, in the BP
 Group Hierarchy group. This forum is for development on the BuddyPress
 core software only.
