Hey Everyone,
TIME.com is looking to build a new Wordpress site called 'Popcharts.'
We're looking for a Wordpress developer or company to help code the
site. We have the design and css and html and need some custom template
development.
RFP below.
General project overview: popcharts.time.com is the newest effort of
TIME.com and Time Magazine's new Briefing section. Popcharts will be
TIME.com's one stop for Celebrity news and gossip.
The goal of Popcharts is to create the celebrity news and commentary web
portal for the upcoming coming years.
popcharts.time.com will include blog style postings, but it will be much
more than a blogging site. Any respondent to the RFP should be prepared
to use Wordpress as a next-generation content management system, with
the full flexibility and expertise to make it work as much more than a
blogging platform.
Important aspects of the site:
* The site will be the new online home for TIME.com's Popcharts.
* It will include savvy, concise daily news on celebrities
* It will include outside links to other media sources
* It will include blurbs and updates that will function
similarly to wordpress 'Aside' features.
* The Main landing page will be the various posts for a current
day.
* It will be the home of the latest interesting news bits and
postings from non-TIME.com sites.
* Links will link off to other sites or TIME.com stories.
Project specifications
CMS: Wordpress
Hosting: Wordpress
Upon finalization of a build partner, TIME.com will provide:
* Information architecture
* Full technical specification for CMS (Wordpress)
* Branding and design, including fully-built CSS/XHTML front-end
pages
for a few key parts of the site
