 There are hardcoded references in wpmu-functions.php to assign all sub
 domain blogs a site id=1 regardless of which domain (site id) a user has
 actually signed up from.

 The site id therefore has to be manually changed in the MySQL database to
 reflect the correct domain, before a user can administer their own site.

 This is surely not useful behaviour!!
