#820: Theme preview not working when a theme is in a subfolder

It appears that all theme folders must reside at the ROOT LEVEL of the
themes folder (within wp-content > themes) in order for the theme preview
 to display correctly (in thickbox.js).

However, if some themes are logically filed in separate folders within the
 default theme directory (e.g. wp-content > themes > mainsite > Mandigo
folder, Kubrickfolder, k2folder etc) then this subsequently kills the
 preview window for those themes.

Bizarre, considering that WPMU is still happy to detect and apply any
 themes in such subfolder.

For me the priority for this to be fixed is 'high' as I don't want to have
to move all my themes back up to the root level and then reactivate them
again across all the websites (I've already had a poke about to see if I
can resolve it myself in the core code).
