Comment:

 Another option would be to add a 'Limit Media Upload options' `checkbox`
 or `radio button` group to `/wp-admin/wpmu-options.php` adjacent to the
 `Upload File Types:` field, so you can still allow for the additional of
 the "Add an Image", "Add Video", "Add Audio" and "Add Media" buttons.
