Comment:

 i'm sorry to reopen - i appreciate discussion can co on the forum and
 there's been a few tickets like this already.  but...

 i do ''not'' want "only the admin pages on https" - i want the entire site
 to function correctly when viewed using https.

 wordpress works just fine doing this - therefore the only changes we're
 making are to the wpmu changes which contain hard-coded "http://"
 references.

 one more ticket close and i promise i'll take this to the forum instead -
 just thought it was worth one reopen in case it was just a simple
 misunderstanding/misread.
