 Installing the 1.0 release using vhosts doesn't cause VHOSTS to be defined
 as yes/true when wp-settings.php is written during the install process.

 Causing check for vhost to initiate content retrieval (wpmu-settings.php,
 about line 69ish) to be forced through the non-vhost check. This in turn
 causes posts to not be accessible through permalinks unless they contain
 /blog/ in the permalink structure ( <domain>/blog/permalink/structure/ ).

 In turn, this can create a major headache for imports from other blogs, or
 when migrating a root WP install over to MU.
