I put together a small plugin that uses the common hacks that have
been floating around to work around the bracket stripping in XML-RPC
requests caused by libxml2/PHP problems. The plugin is available as
part of the plugin directory at:

	http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/libxml2-fix/

and you can read about it at:

	http://josephscott.org/archives/2009/03/wordpress-libxml2-episode-iv-a-new-plugin/

Now that this plugin is available I've closed ticket 7771 (http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7771
) and will be pointing people to this plugin if they are on a host
that won't upgrade to the versions of PHP and libxml2 that fix this
problem.
