 @khushi1501 Thank you, I think I understand what you mean.

 For some reason, when the searched word matches many commands, even though
 the top command is selected, the command list is scrolled down, making it
 appear as if nothing is selected visually. Is this correct?

 I confirmed that this issue was already present in 6.9.
