 Hi @bookandsword,

 I'm unable to duplicate this with a default WordPress installation.

 If you're writing with Markdown, I suspect that whatever plugin you're
 using for that might be responsible for this. I don't recognise a plugin
 in your list that would perform markdown conversion nor auto-tagging
 though.

 You can run WordPress within your browser using the WordPress playground,
 which will allow you to test the behaviour without needing to create a new
 WordPress site or remove plugins from your site:

 You can even load up your existing theme, and install plugins to test
 those.

 I'm going to close this ticket as `invalid` as I'm unable to reproduce
 your issue. If you're able to pinpoint this to a WordPress issue, please
