 @afragen another method I have recently discovered to update a custom
 build, is by using `wp core update wp-update.zip` with `wp-cli`. I've been
 breaking my head with the wall to achieve this kind of core updating for
 ages.

 But still the latest patch is not working as in last report.

 I have to start using CLI more, it's definitely packed with surprises
