 Ok, one step at a time I believe

 Let's see first the overall opinion on this topic.

 ATM, none of the 3 maintainers in privacy are active, this means this will
 be uphill all the way in case it's time to move on.

 Also, another thing: ideally add everything to a PR in GH, don't use
 patches for this. Even if its not passing GHA it won't really matter. But
 its easier to work, test, review, etc…
