 This should be fixed asap.

 Remember core values: Democratize publishing, freedom to build, WordPress
 is designed for everyone, welcoming and inclusive.

 WordPress should use
 [https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_input_type_checkbox.asp plain and
 simple HTML code for a checkbox] in admin area and let the browser draw
 it.

 Weird CSS with negative margins and svg-images hardcoded inline in CSS
 content values is not designed for everyone.
