Comment:

 There are multiple ways to go about this, from adding PHPUnit tests with
 some for loops to tools like PHPBench or the browser-based performance
 tests we have in core and Gutenberg.

 Given that this ticket here isn't really a feature request but a
 discussion topic, I suggest moving the discussion to Slack or so.
