 Six months ago, 6.2% of WP sites were using PHP 5.6. That figure has
 dropped significantly the past months and it's at 5.1% today! By the time
 WP 6.2 will be released, the figure will be below 5% for sure.

 IMO, work should start now and WP 6.2 should only support PHP 7.2 and
 higher (7.0 and 7.1 have been below 5% for over a year already)
