 [attachment:39087.9.diff] is better than [40312], but still doesn't
 account for the fact that some languages use singular form not just for 1,
 but also for 21, 31, etc., where "it" doesn't work.

 If a string is meant to be used for exactly one item, we should explicitly
 check for that, see the second example on
 https://codex.wordpress.org/I18n_for_WordPress_Developers#Plurals

 I can refresh the patch to address that in a few of hours if no one beats
 me to it :)
