Thanks Peter. I had no clue, but that means that through this I can have
every single bit of language on our nl.wordpress.org site via an updated
Rosetta translation?

It's not for releasing translated packages. It's for when you've
added/updated the rosetta translation (and screen shot). Rosetta is the
theme used on the xx.wordpress.org sites. The process is as follows:
1: update repository with files (in locale/rosetta)
2: send a deploy request
3: sit back and relax. The wordpress.org admins get a notice that you've
updated your files, and they have to copy them to the correct places for the
updates to become visible on your xx.wordpress.org site.
**However: I think the deploy seems a bit outdated - why can't the
translation file and screen shot be taken directly from the i18n repo?**

I actually wasn't sure - and am still not - what that deploy request is
meant to do .. I did manage to build a 3.0.1 dutch version which is
available through the website, so what does the deploy request do?
Thanks,
Remkus

Hi guys,
I think I made a mistake when creating our 3.0.1 package. I used as before,
the trunk version from translate.wordpress.org, because we don't have the
branch. I didn't think it would be a problem, but people are complaining
they are getting the message they are using version 3.1-alpha.
Please, help me undo this. What should I do?
Thanks

Trunk means the current development version, which is the future 3.1.
If you need to build a 3.0.1 translation you should do it via the
3.0.x project on GlotPress. That's why it is called 3.0.x :-)
You can import your PO file from the 3.0 release to the 3.0.x project
and just fill-in the few strings that need attention.
Happy translating,
Nikolay
