Those strings have variations for plural forms. Try adjusting the setting for the .po file. Open "Catalog > Settings...", under "Plural Forms:", set the appropriate value for your language. If your language has plural forms, you should provide the translation for all of the variations.

Subject: [wp-polyglots] PoEdit question

Hello,

I am working on the Estonian translation of WP 2.x, about half of it is
done. I use PoEdit for translation as pointed out in documentation.
While it works OK for most strings, I have about 10 of them which cannot
be translated - I can enter text into the translation box but it will be
ignored and the string remains blue (untranslated). Examples include
View %s post
%s comment marked as spam
%s comment deleted.
%1$s <a href=\"%2$s\" title=\"Posts\">post</a>
...
I cannot find an obvious common denominator in the strings, it just
seems to happen with some.

I have tried to look around in the web (including the PoEdit site), but
haven't found the solution. Wonder if anyone has had similar
experiences? I use Ubuntu Feisty and GNOME as a platform.

Best regards,

Kaido
