Thank you for your feedback, Mirta.  I'm not sure I know what problem
you are describing. We host many languages that use non-ascii characters
(the current Croatian translation is in UTF-8 and has the word
"Predloži" at the start of the file, for example). My own native
language, Afrikaans, uses several diacritics, and I'm not aware of any
problems. We also successfully host right-to-left languages, languages
with Complex Text Layout and several Asian languages.

The list of the current interface translations of Pootle perhaps gives
an indication of what seems to work well for many people:

If you have more concerns, feel free to contact me off list or on the
Pootle mailing list, as you prefer. If there is a problem with non-ascii
characters, I would really like to fix it.
