[wp-polyglots] Default Theme (again)

The files in the "wordpress-i18n/theme" directory, if I'm not mistaken, are quite old. You should work from the original wordpress package, obtainable from http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress/tags/2.2.1/wp-content/themes/default.

Is the default theme in the /theme/ directory of the wordpress-i18n
repository is fully working? I can't find any
'load_theme_textdomain()'  in it. And some files, e.g. images are
missing.

Please apologize if there is already an answer for this question that
I'm unable to find.
