The GPL is all about giving rights to the USERS of your software, it is not
about protecting rights of the developer (that's what copyright is for).
You give them a number of freedoms, not restrictions, the only restrictions
they have are that they cannot take away from others  those
freedoms that they themselves were afforded, .

None of this restricts you from making money from the software or

If you don't want to work within this philosophy, you should look to a
software project that allows you to place restrictions on users of your
software.
