[wp-hackers] comments_popup_link

I'm having a bit of trouble displaying comments in a custom design and 
wonder if it's related to comments_popup_link.

When I select the comments link in the metadata bar below the headline, 
the content (and any comments) disappear and the comments form jumps to 
the top of the page.

I've messed something up here for sure, but I've been following the 
tutorial at spoonagraphics 
(http://www.blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/tutorials/how-to-build-a-custom-wordpress-theme-from-scratch) 
and believe I've included all the necessary bits and pieces.
