[wp-hackers] Patch to validate option and transient name lengths

I just created a new ticket and patch that proposes an idea for option 
and transient name length validation. Without validation, tracking some 
bugs and/or code misbehavior can be difficult.

I would love for those interested to weigh in on the idea.
