[wp-hackers] Rename 'Excerpt' and Three Column Layout - Custom Post Types

Hi all,

I'm using custom post types and on the edit/create screen I'd like to do two
things:

   1. Have a three column layout for that screen
   The dashboard allows this, and it looks like its handled by JS, so is
   there a filter I should be aware of?

   2. Rename 'Excerpt' to 'Description'
   I'm using that field as the description for the item being added, rather
   than content because I just want a stripped down, small textarea and excerpt
   seems suited to that

Any ideas how would I go about this?
