The about redirect is a canonical redirect that WordPress does. Since /about
doesn't exist, WordPress goes hunting for a page seems to be a decent match,
hence why you're getting /story/about-12-minutes-of-good-basketball.

(Sidenote: There has been some discussion whether some canonical redirects
are too liberal: http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/8948.)
