[wp-hackers] Leveraging the data captured by official WP Stats plugin?

Howdy y'all,Is there any easy/quick way to get at the WP Stats data for a
particular post or series of posts from within a plugin or theme?  Is it
possible to display a "Top Posts on This Site as Determined By
WordPress.com"? Or, is it possible to check on a per-post basis for such and
then output a modifier to one's theme code, allowing for a "This is a Top
Post" sort of a badge?

I'm basically looking for something akin to Alex King's Popularity Contest
that leverages the stats on WP.com.
