I would suggest a  two line response to all such posts along the lines of:
"This list is not intended for support for the issue you have, please use
the forums at http://wordpress.org/support"
and then just leave it at that. Support exists in the forums so it's better
placed there.

My only contribution to this is that regardless of the outcome the practise
of snipping should be promoted. Trying to follow some threads with top
posts, bottom posts, in between posts is made all the harder with no
snipping going on.
