I believe there have been multiple reports of such issues occurring.
Last I heard, the Automattic support folk were scratching their heads
a bit.  Manually notifying them is a nice stopgap measure to get your
plugin[s] updated, AFAICT.  Dunno when an actual fix to the problem
will occur.
