[wp-hackers] Hook for a template outside of the loop.

I'm developing a plugin for wordpress which involves an advanced search
since the blog will be used for 'status reporting'.  Since the search is
outside of the loop, I'm wondering... is there any hooks which will run so
that in a page template running outside of the loop, I can put a quicktag
such as <!--advanced search-->?  I just can't seem to find the tag to put
my callback.
