[wp-forums] E-mail notifications of threads not being delivered?

I haven’t been using email notifications on the forums, so I’m not 100% sure, but I figured I might as well share what I do for replies in a notification-free lifestyle.
What I do is I use the difference between visited (light-blue) and not-visited (dark-blue) links in my forum profile to identify new replies.
The thread URLs are query-stringed with the reply number, so a new reply essentially changes the URL making it the dark-blue not-visited color.
So, take a look at https://wordpress.org/support/profile/[your-username] visit anything that is "closed" for now, basically anything "No replies since," and watch it magically turn light-blue. If a reply is made, it'll become dark-blue again.
When you reply to a thread, the URL will be like ?replies=21#post-5820886 Just delete the #post-5820886 and re-load to give it the nice light-blue treatment.
Another way is to do command-f on the profile page and search for "most". That will generally highlight anything with "most recently reply” (aka, anything with a reply since you last replied, obviously).

Howdy folks,
I noticed I'm seeming not receiving notifications of responses to
threads I'm following. I've checked spam folders, verified I was
subscribed to the thread, etc, and have found more than a couple
threads that lacked notification.
Anyone else seeing this or the gremlins just in my system?
A couple of examples:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/publicize-not-working-error-code-10520?replies=3
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/carousel-gallery-not-active-theme-conflict?replies=4#post-5820776
I thought it was odd that everyone seem to be okay with my initial
responses :)
Cheers!
