[wp-forums] Search by IP address work?

Good morning,

When someone's spamming, trolling, or just making a general nuisance of
themselves I like to do a search on their client IP 1.2.3.4 via the
posts.php admin page that usually comes up empty for me, as in ~80% of the
time. The pages counter shows more than one page but no posts are displayed
so it doesn't work for me.

Discounting the idea that I'm Doing It All Wrong is there someway to make
that work? It's really useful when miscreants^H^H^H^HH^H misunderstood
members are having a bad day.
