Thank you very much for getting back to me and for clarifying how the
review system works.
I know the limitations that both WP staff and devs are bounded by and, as I
mentioned in my original e-mail (the one I sent a couple of days ago), I
really like the new system overall, since it's way more transparent.

The reviews that I mentioned specifically were:
In the first one, you can actually tell that the user didn't even bother to
explore the settings page for 5 minutes to figure out how to enable editor
buttons (which, as per WP guidelines, should not be enabled by default
without users' consent), and just posted a negative review. As he started
discovering plugin features and how to use them, he changed the title of
the thread from "doesn't work", to "sort of works", and finally to "works",
but the review went from 1 star to 2 stars. I think it is fair to say that
the only thing that review reflects is the user's lack of understanding of
how WP works in general, not how our plugin does.
In the second one, there are actually personal attacks from the user to
Josh (and myself) which clearly violate posting guidelines. Josh and I both
tried to reason with him at first, but user's responses were so provocative
that Josh eventually had it and responded in kind (which he shouldn't have,
I will give you that, but we are only human). The only measure that was
taken regarding that review was that the topic was closed, but the review
is still there.
So, one last question, if I may: what are the specific grounds for deletion
of a given review?
