Assuming you're referring to <http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome>, 
I would imagine that these would still apply but just be real careful 
about using the 'modlook' tag. As a general rule, forum mods won't get 
involved in developer-user "discussions" unless one side is getting 
seriously out of hand. And I mean *seriously*...
