[wp-forums] Looking for Consultants (and Where have I been?)

I'm reasonably sure that nothing has changed to that magnitude.  They were mostly interface changes.

You might want to contact http://akismet.com/contact/ directly.  I'm sure they'd love to look over the data in case something is going screwy.
