Following the discussion yesterday, i think it's pretty safe to assume
we're all happy to consider closing the "Your WordPress" forum and
posting an annoucement of some kind in the forum to highlight why this
change has been made. As has been brought up, it can always be re-opened
if there is a huge backlash from the change.
I think i was being a little hasty in my eagerness to make something
happen yesterday and what i would now propose is that we allow a week or
so for others to air any objections to this change, and if noone has
shown grievances within a week from now i'll make a start on formalising
an email to Matt to highlight the concerns and the proposed solution.
Does everyone feel one week is enough to hash out any further discussion
on this issue and air disagreements?
Of course this change is still subject to approval, so it's not as if
sending the email guarantees it will happen anyway.
I often do alot of talking, share ideas, but usually i'm not very
proactive in making things happen(guilty as charged), i want this to be
a turning point and be something i work toward making happen if we're
agreed this will better the forums on the whole.
