Hi all,

I'm not sure i was really setting out to totally remove the "Your
WordPress" forum entirely when i brought about the discussion, all the
same, i think there's obviously some shared feelings about that forum in
particular.

So let me say this bluntly, who makes the final call on such a decision,
so we can simply address this outright, rather than perhaps skirting
around the notion of removing that forum all together.

My point being, is there a required "Yes" from a particular party to
make this happen or should we(can we) consider a majority vote here as
valid enough reason to move ahead and remove that forum, i'm not "in the
know"(again for lack of better wording) enough to make such a big change
to the forum without fear of a back lash at one level or another.

A problem here perhaps, is that because such an area has existed for X
amount of time, i think it could be a little hasty of me(us, whatever)
to think removing the forum wouldn't result in some form of outcry from
the effected users (we provide something, then take it away).

It's only a few clicks, then it's gone(taking it away is simple)... but
i'd like to consider what will happen if such a change were to take
place, are we considering how users will react, as there are clear
genuine cases where honest members post links to show off their blogs,
how will those users respond.

I'm thinking out loud here...(i'm not necessarily for or against the
idea yet).... just sharing my thoughts...

Your thoughts please. :)

Mark
