On some lists I belong to, you have to lurk a certain number of days before you can post or take advantage of some other list offerings/benefits.
Maybe something along the lines of, can't promote your web site on the WP Support Forum unless you have x number of responses (not cries for help) under your belt? But that would take a lot of work on the mods' part. So maybe that's not such a good idea after all.
I do think that one time posters shouldnt' be rewarded with Google Juice.

I know we've had similar discussions before relating to personal links.
However what i want to bring up today is the existance of accounts that
are being registered, posting personal links in the "Your WordPress"
forum, and having no further activity.
My thinking was along these lines. The forums are provided to support
users, if they come to the forum, seek support, they are then entitled
to promote their blog/site appropriately in the "Your WordPress" forum.
If they register, post a link, and do nothing else then they are there
simply for the linkage/google-juice.
Is there any objection to bozo'ing these users and removing their threads?
