I really think most people clicking on latest discussions are mods.  And 
yes, I would think people would be put off by "closed" on a topic which 
also says "read me first".  I believe someone requested a rework of the 
way that was laid out, but it didn't happen.

Oh, so that's what "crazy egg" which causes my page loads (on 
broadband!) to choke and die produces?  Well, no loss - I adblocked it. 
  Sheesh.
