So we heard a lot by now on the `backtick` position on American
keyboards, thanks guys!
On my just a bit Swedish keyboard, the backtick is equivalent to grave
accent <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grave_accent> ( ` ) as opposed to
acute accent ( /´/ ) both diacritic markers, used in many European and
Latin American languages, like French and Portuguese.
On my keyboard both markers are on the same key to the far right in the
upper key row, next to the back space key.
It talks a lot for a switch to <code> or [code].
To make the backtick savvy happy ( spence, I'm talking to you ;), why
not keep `` as a shorthand for <code> ?
I do agree it will take a while for newcomers to find that ( is that a
quotation mark? ) ` on their keyboards.
