You're not the first, just the first on this list.

My thoughts: whenever the user needs to know how long ago something  
happens, we should format it as "2 days ago" (or whatever).  If there  
are places where we don't do this, we can make sure to change them.

In the post list, though, my opinion is that it doesn't matter when  
things happened as long as you know the time interval between posts,  
for which one timezone is just as good as a user specified one.

It also leads to less confusion: "You said X a 7:35 on the 21st",  
"No... what?", "I mean 7:35pm PDT", "oh... what is that in BST?" ...

It may, though, genuinely be a useful feature.  I am always happy to  
help out the forums folk, so if it is, we can implement it.
