Kaf, probably the best thing to do is, maybe ask about this over at the bbPress forums.. Someone there should be able to make a plugin, or what not for this. I don't remember seeing anything yet, so.. maybe if someone makes a plugin for this, if not Michael Adams first.. then maybe he could implement that feature into WP.org?

They've been making plugins like crazy over there, lately lol.. Someone made a plugin to send email notifications, when someone posts a reply to your threads, so.. maybe they could make one up for private messages.. Couldn't hurt to try.. ? Or, Trent, or I could drop a suggestion for one there?
