[wp-forums] Drinking coke zero

I think the questions have become more and more diverse, and people use the
search less and less. I also think the growth of the codex has come to a
complete standstill, and no longer deals with some of the theme/plugin
development that has continued, thus users have no where else to turn
(equally plugin developers rarely come into the forums) (I must confess
though, I have neither the desire or energy to take on any documentation
myself).
I agree with Moshu on the issue of the forums bringing in non WP users who
are asking non WP related questions, knowing that some talented server admin
types/ CSS gurus hang out there, and they might get what they are looking
for rather than seek out a more appropriate forum.
I also think the regular contributors to the forums are tired of answering
the same old questions over and over. There hasn't seemed to be any influx
of new posters who are willing to take on those questions. Thus, patience
tends to be short with those not willing to do a little heavy lifting
themselves.
In general, I think the WP support community has hit a plateau, and needs
something/someone to bring some fresh air to it.
I know some of the ideas that have been thrown out regarding development of
bbPress, specifically to the WP forums could stand to be introduced.
