But as I don't see my concerns on Lorelle's summary, I'll add that what 
you believe is gained may quickly be lost in the problems that can draw 
from it. A few of you may consider me a person who can claim "I've been 
around the old WordPress a few times and survived and now I'm giving of 
my time to say thank you back to WordPress," and if asked to officially 
pitch in on the forums I wouldn't think twice about it; but as for any 
"honorary" title, I would not want one. Not from a lack of desire for 
recognition, but from past experiences on a few other support bbs' I've 
spent time on.

If you feel the need to award the efforts of a select group in our small 
community (which is not all that small), then my suggestion is to figure 
a way for the community as a whole to do the awarding.
