I agree with Patrick about using a streaming server/service to deliver the video. There are a lot of free options (Vimeo doesn't have the size limit that YouTube does).
On Wordpress, we use a plugin called "Viper's Video Quicktags" to enable easy embedding of videos delivered through all the standard services. I don't have to do much to support the bloggers using videos, so it must be working okay.

I'm curious about how people have enabled/use video; do you allow your users to upload video into wordpress? Do you have file size restrictions? Or are you just directing that content to youtube and embedding? We're typically getting requests to be able to add video in the 50-100 meg range.
